In the spring of 2011 I was asked by the graphic designer Giorgio Camuffo (Camuffolab, Venice) to freely choose a topic and develop an artist’s book. I decided to follow an animal from the upbringing, to its sale by auction, to its death in a slaughterhouse, until the meat is purchased and sold in a supermarket. The result is an artist's book which I self-produced in 10 copies.
Carne | Fleisch is a reportage about the sale of cattle and the processing of meat in the area of the slaughterhouse of Bolzano, a bilingual city in South-Tyrol, Northern Italy.
